About Us
Mid-Century Modern Finds was founded in 2009 by Carlos and Christine Villalta out of their love for finding and restoring vintage furniture, lighting, art, and accessories. Every piece they find is a chance to learn about and appreciate a designer or artist that created a beautiful moment in history - moments that we can all fill our homes and work spaces with to create environments full of sculptural lines, rich tones, and unique details.

I bought my first "real" furniture from Christine and Carlos in 2009, a gorgeous pair of dressers by American of Martinsville. Since then, more MCMF pieces have found their way to my home, and they always draw compliments from visitors. Christine and Carlos have incredible taste and a great eye for interesting, quality furniture. I keep coming back because they are nice people who are easy to work with, care about the quality of the items they sell, and are genuinely excited to share their love of this era with others.

I really appreciate the passion Christine and Carlos have for mid century modern furniture. They are great curators of furniture from designers like Wegner, Baughman, and Pearsall, just to name a few. They also have great finds in lighting, artwork, and home accessories. They share this passion by offering a fantastic selection of classic pieces to customers like me. I have acquired many pieces from Midcentury Modern Finds and hope to acquire more. Their prices are very reasonable and also a much better value than what you pay for new furniture these days. I love this place. Carlos and Christine are awesome; they are totally passionate about mid century furniture and only buy what they like. And they have great taste :) We've bought from them several times and each time it's a real learning experience to meet Carlos at the warehouse and see what's new that he's excited about. I'm always a little surprised that you can get quality made vintage furniture in such great condition, for about the price of getting something new (and not as well made) from a store. I feel that the prices here are very good relative to some of the other places you could go. But basically I keep coming back since Carlos is such a great guy and so good to his customers. For example, he helped us find a pair of Drexel Declaration nightstands that were were craving, keeping his eyes open for well over a year, until in the end he finally steered us to another dealer who had the nightstands (nothing in it for him, except to help make us happy). Do your home a favor and check out this place!

When my boyfriend and I moved in together we decided that we were only going to buy furniture we loved. We had no real furniture to our name and we were set on only buying things of quality, things that were timeless (i.e. pieces that could transition with us if we left the spot we were buying for), and could last a lifetime. The only *problem* when we found Mid Century Modern Finds, was that everything was so beautiful, so incredible and so well made/restored, that we had to spend hours on the site trying to narrow down what we needed to get our home started.
We ended up with a coffee table and a credenza and I couldn't be any happier with them. Not only is the quality exceptional, Carlos and Christine were beyond wonderful to work with.
I will absolutely, without a doubt use MCMF again for my next home purchase and always recommend them to any of my friends who are looking for furniture.
